Day One Of Pokhara

Day One Of Pokhara

What a day! Dad and I took the bus to Pokhara. The view was amazing: mountains and terraces (for farming tea and rice), wide gorges, white water rapids — such an amazing change in geography in a seven hour bus ride. We arrived in Pokhara around 1:00PM, checked into the hotel, and set off to do some sight seeing. We aimlessly walked around, walking in the general direction of the lake, talking about how best to spend our time away from Kathmandu valley. Quite the day, here are some pictures.

The world-renowned Swanky Franks shirt. Here we are in a scenic village, my Dad turns to me and says, "have you ever realized that the Swanky Franks hot dog is eating a hot dog? Isn't that kind of sick?" It just about ruined my day.
