Dad Arrives!

Dad Arrives!

Today Muni and I went to the airport to pick up my dad. It was such a surreal feeling to pick up my dad in a foreign country I’ve been living in for a month already. I welcomed him with Nepal ma swagaat chaa, which means “welcome to Nepal”. The taxi drivers trying to hawk a fare laughed at this, and I told them that he didn’t need a ride…he was with me (dialog fit for any B-grade buddy cop movie).  He arrived with a nice care package consisting of three monitors, two books on computer programming and a book on relativity (which I ‘accidentally’ left in the Amazon cart. I could have sworn it was the Amazon wish list, but I digress).

On the way home we passed a famous crematorium.

That’s all for now.

About the Author

I was born in London, England. At the age of ten, I moved to Hong Kong, which opened up a whole new part of the world: Asia. Since then, I have enjoyed traveling to different locales around the world. Having graduated from High School, I am taking a gap year to work on a computer project in Nepal, and later a cultural immersion trip in Ghana. This is the blog I am using to keep the world notified.
