Revisiting The Orphanage

Today was the second-last day of Diwali. I stopped by the orphanage with Ashish and Muni. I had bought two basketballs and a bicycle pump in case they ever got flat. The kids have a hoop, but their only ball popped a month around a month ago. It was great to be able to play with the kids, I stayed for an hour or so before we left. After that, we went home and Ashish, Shyami and I snuck out of the house to go play duesi-ray. Between the three of us, we made a hundred and fifty rupees! Not bad for half an hours work. I do have some videos of us going door-to-door, but those will be posted another day…for now, I’ll just post the photos I took.

Ashish and I gave the kids bananas we picked up at the market.

We immediately distributed the two basketballs, the kids loved it!

The kids weren't rowdy or grabby with the basketballs at all. They got in line and took turns!

I spent my hard-earned Rupees on fireworks.

This worked flawlessly, and I plan on doing it again tomorrow night.
