The Day Draws To An End

The Day Draws To An End

Only nine minutes before the day is over! I’ll see if I can get through this all in time. The last post ended with a photo of Shyami lighting a firework, which was taken right as the sun was falling behind the mountain range off to our west. I’ll post some of the photos I took since then: I watched the fireworks for a bit longer, then Muni and I went out to the New Road. I saw tourists for the first time in at least a week! It was great. By chance, they were tourists from the main land speaking Mandarin, and I had the sudden urge to shout “我可以說一點的中文!”, but I heard the phrase “爸爸很病” (dad is sick) so I thought that maybe I should just let them be: they looked pretty distressed. After that, we returned home to a feast Nani had prepared. We broke open the raksi we bought earlier: Muni liked the vodka Redbulls I prepared, but Nani took one sip of her straight Redbull, winced, and switched to water. Good call. Anyway, here are the photos.

About the Author

I was born in London, England. At the age of ten, I moved to Hong Kong, which opened up a whole new part of the world: Asia. Since then, I have enjoyed traveling to different locales around the world. Having graduated from High School, I am taking a gap year to work on a computer project in Nepal, and later a cultural immersion trip in Ghana. This is the blog I am using to keep the world notified.
