The Second Wave Of Spam Arrives!

The Second Wave Of Spam Arrives!

It’s been a few days without updates because the internet has been shaky at best, and I couldn’t upload pictures or video to complement the blog pictures. I’ve updated the blog with two new blog posts, but I’ve set the “time published” manually back a day (or two) so that they show up properly in the archives. Make sure you check out the posts “Some Thoughts On Photography” and “A Rollercoaster Of Emotion!” While they were published today, they were written on October 11th and 12th.

Other than that,  I received around 25 spam comments today. The random strings that were posted as unique identifiers last week must have been used, as the usernames were the same. Some of the posts were hilarious non sequiturs: to try and get through the anti-spam, they had phrases which made them seem like genuine posts. My three favorites were “for most people the word polygamy conjures up images of child brides dressed straight out of the 1800s”, “try to be creative and resourceful there is no need to spend big money on a simple journal to chronicle your development” and “the mega insurer recently completed remodeling of its offices in downtown Topeka to the tune of 25 million”. Good to know, spammers!

Anyway, I just felt like leaving this update as a reason why the there haven’t been any posts in a while, and I wanted to share the spam messages the spam filter caught.

That’s all for now.

About the Author

I was born in London, England. At the age of ten, I moved to Hong Kong, which opened up a whole new part of the world: Asia. Since then, I have enjoyed traveling to different locales around the world. Having graduated from High School, I am taking a gap year to work on a computer project in Nepal, and later a cultural immersion trip in Ghana. This is the blog I am using to keep the world notified.
